ANZIGA members are committed to ensuring that condemned acetylene cylinders in Australia and New Zealand are disposed of in a manner that follows environmental best practices and minimises waste to landfill. This new publication provides a guide for those organisations undertaking the disposal of acetylene cylinders and represents current best practices.
The safety and environmental risks associated with acetylene, solvents, and asbestos or other porous material, have been considered. Where possible, all components of the cylinders should be reclaimed and/or recycled.
